Happy New year to everyone.

We were still on a bit of a high after our IVA having been accepted during the holiday period that we weren't prepared for the telephone call we got this morning (mind you it didn't upset us that much and my husband handled it beautifully) a call centre operator called from Bhs credit card (who happen to be part of Santander) the gentleman wanted him to verify his details to which my husband replied "no sorry I'm not prepared to that over the telephone due to obvious reasons, I don't know who you are" the chap then proceeded in telling my husband that if he didn't that this particular call centre would call us 5 times per day every day to which my hubby said "really - do you know whether 5 times is the maximum or a minimum or on average! - it's just that I don't mind but the wife may start getting suspicious and she's the jealous type".

The chap really didn't know what to say to that so he asked my husband to call the call centre instead - my husband asked him who he was, this led to a big confusion because he said he worked for mastercard, barclaycard - but bhs card is run by Santander anyway the conversation was ended and we called them back.

We got through to someone else and my hubby verified his info and advised the payments collection chap that his IVA had been accepted - the chap then said he had not heard anything about this and could we please send them the documents and acceptance notice - can anyone please advise, what acceptance notice? we have obviously not received our chairmen's report yet as our IVA's were only accepted on 30th December, but even if we had, surely we don't have to send creditors copies of our report do we?

Sorry to waffle on. [:D]

They mean the Chairman's report Simbel, which your IP has to send out within 4 working days of the proposal being accepted - so they are still in good time.

Congratulations, Simbel, on getting your IVA approved. You don't have to send anything to creditors - your IP will do that. There is no harm in advising any callers who your IP is and any reference number of your agreement and suggesting they contact them. Having said that, you may well still get calls for a while. Don't worry it will all stop shortly.

Thanks Melanie that's what I thought - we did tell the chap that our IP would probably send this to the creditor's in due course.

This probably the wrong post so I apologize in advance - but I would like to give a public thank you to Melanie who knows of the serious illness of my dog. Melanie offered a payment break to help with travelling costs without me having to ask. Thanks to her sensible allowances I think we can do without it - it it so important to new posters to find an IP who lives in the real world - Melanie certainly does hat.

Max - so sorry to hear about your dog - it is essential that everyone has good pet insurance in place and your case has demonstrated this. We too have a doggy, a cavalier king charles who is now 11 years old and has been diagnosed with heart murmur (is that the correct spelling) he is on heart tablets for the rest of his life which hopefully will be for a good few more.

I hope he goes on for a good few years yet Simbel.

Thanks Jan, as I said he's 11 years old but thinks he's still a puppy and acts like it as well! he doesn't mind the tablets too much as I wrap them round a little piece of ham which he waffles down without any problems!

My two are about 4 and 5 (rescue dogs) and hopefully they will go on for years. We lost one last year, she was about 14 though so a decent age.

They all love taking tablets with food though!
