Hi to everyone. Has anybody got their IVA with Debt Free Direct, what are your findings with them. I am currently getting very comflicting information from them. please help desperately don't want to feel like this!!

I cannot comment as to the quality of this firm, and as a fellow IP it would be inappropriate for me to do so, but if you are getting conflicting advice from within the same firm I can understand your current dilemma. Perhaps you ought to try seeking advice from another couple of sources so that you have other opinions and information to compare to, remembering that you do have to have a good working relationship with whichever firm you choose for the next five years if the IVA is to be a success.

I agree with Melanie, take advice from 2 or 3 professionals before making a final decision, it's imperative you feel at ease with your IP. Take a look at www.iva.com for a list of companies and contact a few after reading the reviews and gain some free, impartial advice, the groundwork initially will help your IVA once accepted run smoothly.

i am only just at the begining of the process too -- i phoned a few ips up and help lines one was debt advice trust which is part of debt free direct, i too felt a bit lost with there advice and continued calling a few up along the procecess i found this site. it helped me pick a few and i have found a company i intialy feel comfertable with..

from reading comments stories etc i realised you need to feel at ease and to have trust in the ip company as you are going to be dealing with them for the next 5 years, i hope ive made the right choice only time will tell

Hi Simon, I hope you've made the right choice as like you say you'll be dealing with them for 5 years, if you've signed nothing you're free to change your mind if there is still doubt in your mind.

I am currently going through the process with debt free direct and honestly ask Declan for any advise or help him and paul mcgarry have been fantastic.
I did find that speaking to a different person everytime i called up hard but now i just pester Declan and he always gets staight back to me!
