Hi All

I am sure this query has come up previously but I can’t remember the response.

I have been in an IVA since July 2006 and everything is going fine. However the other day I received a letter from a debt company asking for a payment. This was one of the debts included in the IVA and the amount they are requesting is the same as when I entered it.

What do I need to do??

Many Thanks x

Hi there I would personally sent it to my IP as if the debt was included in the IVA you're covered by the IVA.

Lesley is right. Send it to your IP to deal with but dont worry. The IVA is legally binding and theres nothing they can do to you now.

You may find that this is one of the letters that creditors are obliged to send out once a year - we have all been getting them just lately.

Don't worry about the sum in the letter, it will always say that you owe the same, regardless of whether they have received dividends or not.

You will always owe the full amount until your IVA is completed and then the remainder is written off.
