Just received my report from my 2nd review and my IP has been changed again, 3rd time in 2 years, is this right?

Are you still with the same firm? I know one or two firms have changed hands this year.

Of course it could be that your IP has left and so another has been allocated to your case.

1st IP was changed during set-up but didn't find out until 1st review and 2nd changed happened in Jan 09 but only found out today (upon receipt on my paperwork)

I can only assume that the others have left or retired.

As long as everything is still going ok, I wouldn't bother about it. You have details if you need to contact anyone other than call centre staff.

Everything seems to be going ok, im probably worrying over nothing.

I only have companies phone number and have only spoken to call centre staff so far.

Just checked for my IP email address and its under a different company name and as far as i know the company i am with hasen't changed hands so a bit confused.

He/she may have moved companies, but I do know that Grant Thornton have taken over a few companies this year.

My new IP must have come from another company then as like i said earlier his email address is from a different company.

As long as everything is going ok, then I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I think that the IPs used by Kingsgate don't actually work for that company, but run their own companies - but I may be wrong. Best to check with them directly to find out exactly who is now looking after you and the relationship they have with your IP firm.

That is why it is sometimes a little more beneficial to use a company owned by the IP, rather than where the IP is an employee - owners rarely move firms! However as long as you are getting good service from the firm overall, perhaps the identity of the IP is of little concern.

Kingsgate are who I'm with. Apparently one of their IPs, Michael Ellingworth was sacked or struck off or something for taking client's money. See page 7 on this link http://www.insolvency-practitioners.org ... jul09a.pdf

It's quite easy to put checks in place to make sure that this is impossible, and I'm sure that Kingsgate will have since done this.

Irishphenom- it's a shame that your IP has changed twice already, as it must make it difficult to gauge where you stand on any discretionary issues. It makes it all the more important to contact your IP if you ever have any questions.
