Hi, If I took out an IVA would I have to sell my guitars?

Hi johm.mt and welcome to the forum.
If we are talking ordinary guitars used for social/collectors purposes then no. If we are talking about John Lennon's original guitar, then that's a different matter all together.
Good luck with everything in the future.

I agree it would depend on the value of the guitars and also are they used for work purposes?
Unless the creditors are going to benefit greatly from you selling them, I wouldn't think it would be necessary.

I agree with Julie.
Your personal posessions are not normally at stake unless they are antiques or worth a lot of money.

You should be OK so long as you don't have the odd Stratocaster or two hanging on the walls!

I have a punk rock record collection whioh includes Sex Pistols in various vinyls, New York Dolls, Sham 69 and signed Undertones. I am sorry but these records may be worth money but it would have to be a very large Official Receiver to take them off me were I to go bankrupt.

I'd have said the same Julie![:D]
I've nothing valuable at all - a few statues wich cost a bit when they were bought but not worth a lot now, no expensive clothes. I think the most valuable thing in our house is the furniture![:D]

You can't put a price on family though Lesley!
I know we've got nothing of value at all in the way of possessions.
