Hello
My husband and I are currentley into the 16 month of our IVA with DFD. We pay £615 per month. My mum has offered us some money to pay the IVA early. When i spoke to DFD they told us to put an amount in writing but im not sure whet the rule of thumb is when offering. (obviously my mum is not a bottemless money pit and she has offered us £15000) can anybody offer any advice and guidance.

Thanks

Hi,

Usually you need to pay as near to your original dividend as possible, but personally speaking I think that may be a good offer. We do have a poster from DFD who will probably be back on Tuesday and can assist further.

I'm sure that one of our other experts will be on to give further advice later.

That offer seems very low, in comparison to the payments that creditors would get if your IVA continued. Are you struggling with the payments at the moment, or is there any other reason why you wish to settle the IVA early?
