im fairly sure but not 100% sure that if you have paid a certain amount of payments,i think its half.you can return the vehicle with nothing further to pay.

Someone from the finance company will be in touch with you to make arrangements for it to be collected at a mutually convenient time. Once the car has been sold, they will be able to tell you how much you owe and then you can try and make arrangements to pay the debt.

if youve got a regulated finance agreement and have paid over a certain amount you can hand it back and walk away.

wether they want to know or not is not the issue, if youve got a regulated agreement and youve paid a certain amount its your right to hand it back.
think you need to chat with someone.

I think it is half and includes any deposit paid providing thier is no arrears outstanding.

As far as I am aware, Debra's case has been to court and it is they who have told her to hand the car over.

I agree with what Melanie has said.

I agree Jan. I dont think handing the car back after you have paid so much would apply as the account is in arrears.

I think that she is going to have make arrangements to pay back any arrears as Melanie has said.

Most probably. She has posted previously about this, but I don't think she went to court in the first place.

me thinks from a similar experience that the shortfall as well as costs will be chased but not 100% sure.

they wanted over £7,000 off me and they had already had the money from selling the car.
