I have just recievd a letter from my former IP Wilson Phillips in Blackburn which informs me that Grant Thornton is now my new IP, I contacted them and found them not too helpful and so far no help at all to be honest, I felt they had no interest in me only the money, (maybe paranoia!)

Can this just happen as I was happy with Wilson Phillips and the work they did for me and already do not feel comfortable with this new IP.

As the debtor I was under the impression that it was my best interests that were being looked after tand then my debts.

Can I change my IP as easy as they handed my case over to another IP. I would like some say in who looks after my IVA and if you like my future welfare for now.

You really have been transferred to an excellent IP firm, and I am sorry that your first impression of the standard of client care has not been great.

You cannot really change your IP firm, but you can expect this firm to look after you well over the next few years. If it would help, I know the partners at GT very well, and if you would like to e-mail me your details I am sure that they would want to deal with your initial concerns personally.

There is also a dedicated Client Service Manager now at GT dealing with the Wilson Phillips transfer, and she will also be alarmed to hear of your experience, but is sure to put things right and reassure you about the way forward.

I dont use GT as my IP but I have dealt with them in the past and can only say how proffesional they are. I am sure you have nothing to worry about that have vast experience and would not want anybody unhappy with the standard of thier service.

Thanks both for the references, maybe first impressions are not correct, I will attempt to contact them again and see if they can help me further in my needs and questions. maybe it was a bad day.

I only want to feel like I am being looked after regardless I like the answers I am given to my questions.
