Hi all
We moved house last month and am still waiting for BT to come and install a phone line and so far, in a month i have topped up my mobile phone by £80, (£10 a time, previous to this i was topping up 10-20 a month!)I need to have credit on my phone so that i can call various companies and schools, doctors to let them know changes of address, be able to call people in case of emergency, work etc
Anyone know of any mobile phone sites that may take me on as a pay monthly customer? I have tried the flext thing with t-mobile but because we have recently moved and not yet on electoral role here that hasn't helped.
I'm wary of going through dodgy companies incase they have high hidden charges but with what i'm topping up right now it is getting ridiculous and i still have another 3 weeks before the come to do the line.

I dont think you will be able to get a mobile contract if you are in an IVA...assuming that you are?

You may have trouble with a contract if you're not on the voters list yet.
Tesco mobile were doing a deal where you top up £15 a month and they give you £45 worth of credit, and I believe Vodaphone are doing something similar as well.

you could try tesco pay as you go, there calls are 20p a min and texts are 10p. If you top up £15 a month they give you an extra £30 so £45 worth of texts and calls for £15.

similar question to this, but has anyone upgraded their phone whilst being in an IVA? I have been with o2 for years and just renewed my contract year on year. Just wondering if my IVA will affect this or if they will take account of my perfect previous payment record.

You shouldn't have a problem if you renew with them - they only check how your account has been going with them and if your payments are up to date then they will just renew.

I just switched to o2 simplicity(was already with o2) and for £15 a month I get 800 mins, 1600 texts and unlimited internet(as a bolt on)(so i can even log into forum at work!!)

That was what I was hoping. Got 6months to go, so not worrying about it at present. But good to know.

That's a good idea PD.
Adam, I upgraded my phone when I was in an IVA and again when I was BR with no problems.

Mine is £35 a month with 1000 texts, 600 minutes and unlimited internet with O2.
I like to upgrade my phone as well though.
