I have never seen anybody fail at anything. Just not done as well as they hoped.

I failed a few of my exams in my time - not a case of not doing as well as I hoped - just hadn't revised for some of them!

to me failure means you haven't done something. You can still manage to do an exam and not get the marks you require but you have still done the exam.

My mother-in- law was a teacher - she used to tell her pupils you have not failed your examinations - you have not yet learnt how to pass them!

I'm still a failure at some things! I always fail to change a wheel if I get a puncture!
