Hi,
You will need to visit Melanie Giles website to find out contact details for the firm. They are not allowed to post numbers on the forum.
If you click on the experts link, you will find details for the site on there.

Has Tina left Melanie's firm Jan - she was very good with J when my lot blew up?

I don't know David. I'm sure that at least one of Melanie's offices has relocated, so that may be one reason.
I'm sure she will pick up on this later.

I hope she is still about - the help she gave J when J was at rock bottom can never be repaid! This is something for you to comment on - J came back from shopping - she bumped into a woman she knows who was a depatmental (shop floor0 supervisor in a well known high street store - the lady concerned went bust - as soon as the store was told about this by the OR she was fired on the spot! So much for helping people rebuild their lives - what sort of world are we living in - hitting people when they are down!

Not a very sympathetic boss there! I didn't think the OR told work about bankruptcy? I could be wrong though. It may be that the stores payroll department cottoned on to it when she went onto a nil tax code and possibly blew the whistle.
Shouldn't have happened though.

It was the London HQ - salaries people who reported it to the staff people. What on earth could a b/r supervisor in a food hall do to them? Pinch half a pound of sausages? Being b/r no way implies dishonesty. This lady's husband ran up the bills- got her to be a party to them and then left her! No justice in this world.

I wonder how many of the other staff are in money trouble but just not done anything about it? Now they are the ones who are possibly open to dishonesty, not the people who are doing something about it.
I do hope the lady has since found another job.

Jan you set me off when you mentioned nil tax code. My income is from a public service pension - I looked at the rules. If I went bust, my pension is frozen and it is at the discretion of the trustees if it is opened up again!! The OR has nothing to do with it. Public money I suppose even though I contributed to it.

Jan, you have hit the nail right on the head with that post!

No other job - according to the local radio - 287 applicants for a school meals suoervisors job. One of the highest unemployment rates in the uk here.

That shouldn't be allowed as it's your pension.
We appear to have hijacked the thread, so we'd better get it back on track again!
thewds, I hope Melanie picks up on this soon, or that you have managed to contact the office yourself via the website.
Let us know if you manage it.
