I am very excited about this but I keep worring about m IVA again now!!.. Has anyone been in this situation if so how did it effect your IVA??. I have tried to contact my IP but I have had no reply as yet??. Any advice would be welcome Kind regards Helen

First of all congratulations on the news - you and your partner must be absolutely delighted.

Turning to the IVA, I have had many clients who have had babies during an IVA, and we may have had to vary the terms to accomodated a reduced income due to maternity pay, but this has always been overcome. Speak to your IP directly on this, and it would be helpful if you had done your research first - so let them know if you intend to return to work after the birth, what your childcare arrangements are likely to be, and how much child benefit and tax credit you hope to receive. As you are now halfway through the IVA, it is unlikely to fail.

Congratulations Helen, lovely news.

Good luck with the baby and speaking to your IP tomorrow. I'm sure they will be sympathetic to you.

Try emailing your IP direct. You can find them via this link:
