I am going through the IVA process and the only creditor I am having trouble with is MBNA. They've forwarded my account to Aegis who are a nightmare, ringing me, mobile and house and texting constantly. After 2wks I answered their calls and, as usual, (creditors don't seem to pass on to their credit companies, that you are undertaking an iva) she didn't know anything about the IVA. I explained this and she was okay but said she needed a code number under which the IVA was being filed - I spoke to my IPs office and they don't have such a thing, Aegis said they are unable to update my file without this! Has anyone else had any dealings with the dreaded Aegis?

Yes, I've given them the case number but they also need this other number - think I'll just start to ignore their calls again. Thanks

Hi
This may be the case number that is given by the court. Probably not available until your IVA is nearly in place

Tell AEGIS and MBNA that the constant calls consitute harassment and you are making a log and will file a complaint to the FSA. There is a fine of 5000 pounds for contravening harassment act. There are guidelines that must be followed in persuing debt.Must we have a writen law on this as the banks cannot follow it? Are they this dumb??

What is the point of AEGIS asking for these reference numbers to reference an IVA in their records - the point is whether you are doing something about your indebtedness and you are by consulting an IP.Why don't Aegis ring your IP or isn't that they can't be bothered.

I have known MBNA using two dent collection agencies if you have more than one card or a card from a subsidary Bank and neither knows about each other?

MBNA need to have their consumer licence revoked in the UK.
