Dear Sir or Madam,

Can the IP request bank statements from someone in an IVA and if yes is this common?

Thank you

Placido

In my term they have never asked for a single statement but I have sent them numerous wage slips, rental agreements, council tax bills etc

Some IP's do request them. Mine doesn't, it's just payslips and my P60 I think.

Hubby's IP wanted bank statements for each yearly review.

Some IPs do request bank statements at the annual review stage, as confirmation of the bills you pay by direct debit.
Normally they only request payslips and latest P60.

I don't - as I trust my clients to tell me about any material changes - but we do seek payslips and evidence of any expenditure items which exceed the original budget by more than 10%.

Your Supervisor can ask for virtually anything that has a bearing on your IVA - so the answer is yes.

You'd need to check with your IP as to what they require for an annual review.
