HELLO EVERYONE
MY SISTER IS GOING BANKRUPT ON THE 15TH JAN. SHE HAS A ARREAS ON HER COUNCIL TAX OF £748.50 THE BALIFFS HAVE SENT HER A LETTER SAYING THEY WANT THE FULL AMOUNT WHICH SHE DOESN'T HAVE. CAN SHE PUT THE COUNCIL TAX ARREAS IN THE BANKRUPTCY AND IF SHE CAN SHOULD SHE INFORM THE BALIFFTS THAT SHE IS GOING BANKRUPT.
THANK YOU.

Yes Council Tax arrears can be included in the bankruptcy which have accrued up to the date of the bankruptcy order. If the Council already have a liability order, then the whole amount covered by the order can also be included.

Absolutely - but until the bankruptcy order is made there is nothing to stop the bailiffs from continuing with action against your sister I am afraid.
