Hi and well done on completing your IVA.

Your Credit file is impaired for 6 years from the start of the IVA or any default so regardless of finishing early it will make little difference but some companies look on it a bit more favourably.

The IVA will stay on your credit record for a period of 6 years from the date that it was approved.

There is nothing to prevent you from contacting the various credit reference agencies and asking them if there is any way that you can have your credit record reflect that the terms of the arrangement have been satisfied.

It has to be worth a try.

You have the IVA money to spend on yourself so thats great....but I have to say that getting credits status back to normal and getting normal line of credit in the current times is going to very very hard.Acceptance crietia is tightening for everyone.

One of the ways to test your credit clout is to apply for a credit card or HP - this is a good test of your credit credentials. Then settle it ASAP. If you are able to then you know there is not a problem.

I have heard that even getting visa debit card is a problem after a IVA.

Congratulations.

If you do need to apply for credit again, then a copy of your IVA completion statement may assist your application.
