How to stop debt collector calls when they have the wrong person? I have told them over and over that, I am not this guy, yet they still keep calling. Apparently, the guy they want had tons of debt because there are numerous different agencies lighting up my phone non-stop.
Thanks in advance for the help

When they ring ask them for their details so that you can report them to the Financial Ombudsman.

If you don’t want the collector to contact you again give these guys a call
https://www.scottishtrustdeed.co.uk/ or ask for the collector’s mailing address and tell them in writing to stop contacting you.

It's not ideal but as a last ditch attempt you could get a new number.

I doubt the Financial Ombudsman would do anything but you can tell them you are going to sue them for harassment.
In the meantime just refuse to answer any security questions and they cannot continue further.
If you have either BT or Sky you can have a free call screening block on your phone. It works for me.

When they call you and ask for security details, stop them there and tell them, as this is an unsolicited call from an unknown number they they have to answer security questions first! It doesn't matter what their mother's maiden name is, but they will NEVER get the third and seventh digit of the 13 digit security code!!
