Hey all, I've been reading and gaining valuable advice for the past month or so, and have just had my IVA accepted.

I'm extremely happy and a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now. I spent two years on a debt management plan until an IVA was suggested.

So my IVA starts next month and then it's a count down.

Good for you Wizza. Which firm did you choose to represent you - was it the same one with whom you had had the debt management plan with, and why do you think your DMP company did not suggest this to you at the time they originally advised you?

DMP was with Gregory Pennington but at first I only had around 10,000 in debt so I didn't qualify for IVA. Then as a few debts I had forgotten about come out of the woodwork it made just over 15k and they suggested an IVA. I went with Freeman Jones, their sister company and so far the process has been quick and painless.
