Hi
We now have Canadian visas and are looking to move there permanently in 2010, however, we have ALOT of debt that we are trying to pay off , we are not missing payments yet but we will upto our Overdraft limit by next month and are struggling. It is making us very stressed. We are looking at an IVA as a last resort but want to know whether we can continue the IVA and its payments when in Canada? we have a UK Bank Acct which has Canadian Branches.

You would also need an address that you could register the IVA at in the UK. If you had this then funding an IVA from abroad is possible.

I have a couple of clients who live in Canada and happily are maintaining their IVA payments, so as long as you are able to do this and maintain communication with your Ip theref should be no problem.

Hi
Thanks for your help, would a UK address be required as stated by Oliver? as this would be difficult if living in Canada and I don't think our parents would like an IVA registered at their address. Also, would arrangements be reviewed once we have a new job etc in Canada?
Thanks again
Andrea
