hi im looking to open a sole trader business account, I am in an iva (3rd y) i have looked at some websites that charge up tp £170, is this the only way i can open an account if i am in an iva?

Do you really need a business account? Or would a second account with your bank which is just used for the business suffice?

Have you recently changed from paid employment to self-employed?

I think it always depends on cheques! If you can trade and get cheques made out to you personally its fine, but banks wont let you put cheques made out to a business name through a personal account.. even if you prove you are the owner.
