Hi pas and welcome.

You really need to discuss this with your IP. They could give you a short payment holiday. As long as you dont go 3 months into arrears then your IVA should be safe.

Hope the ankle gets better soon

Oh Pas that's awful, you poor thing. You'll get some good advice on the forum so hang on in there. Viki X

I assume that you mean financial help rather than medical! And sorry to hear about your accident by the way.

If you do not receive full sick-pay from your employer, it may be possible to arrange a short payment holiday for the IVA payments from your Supervisor, who is bound to be sympathetic.

Poor you. This is one of the problems of being self employed isn't it! For the first time when I remortgaged last Sept I took out an income protection policy which, when the payment goes out each month, makes me feel a bit secure.

I am sure that your IP will be sympathetic to a short payment break so get in touch with them as soon as you can.

All the best ... and I hope that ankle gets better soon.

Oops - sorry I missed the bit about being self-employed! Even more reason for the IP to step in and help with a payment holiday until you are better.
