Hi jo and welcome.

Without sounding rude......thats a lot of money to not notice. I'm sure i would notice if that ammount had been paid into an account of mine.

I dont actually know where you stand with regards to this but im sure one of the experts will be along shortly with some advice.

Hey Jo, did you post the amount incorrectly maybe? Did you have a bookkeeper or accountant or did you do books yourself? I'm sure an expert will help you shortly. Viki X

The money is rightly repayable to the bank, and if you have spent it and no longer have the funds the bank will likely commence recovery action against you.

Hi Jo
Take professional advice.
If your figures are correct then the bank will take legal action and if you have assets[house etc]this may be used to recover the debt by way of a charging order or they could look at bankrupting you

My thoughts exactly. How can you spend something you haven't noticed? And if the business was closed, why was the account still open?

I would definitly notice that amount going into my account!
