I cleared the remaining balance of my IVA last November and have only just received a certificate of satisfaction from my IP. I paid back 100% of what I originally owed because a job change meant that my gross salary jumped from £27K to £45K in year 2 of the IVA ( I was paying £700/Month as opposed to £250/Month for Year 2)and I was able to remortgage my property to pay off the remainder of the debt in Year 3.(NB:- This is not just clearing 20% of the whole debt as is usual for successful IVA's, but 100%).
Now I have the certificate, how am I able to update the Credit Reference Agencies that all recorded defaults for unsecured credit (6 Credit cards + 1 overdraft) are now satisfied - FULLY and not just via the usual 5 year end of IVA term(assumption that creditors only received a proportion of 20% of debt accrued)
How do I take my name off the IVA register? It's still showing that I have a current IVA! Also, how will this affect my getting a new mortgage in 2009?
I appreciate this is an unusual case, but it would be the same as someone receiving an inheritance part way through their IVA and being able to clear the whole debt and not having the 80% written off.
Many thanks
