Hi all
Had a busy week just finished a course on website builder & built 2 sites. I have put some cards up in shop windows as well to drill up trade. Just wanted to make a small post.
My IVA with Melanie took about 9 weeks from contact to conclusion.
My debts were run up by spreadbetting (Gambling in effect)all 150K
I changed my tel number ( I know some people fell worried about it but it had not bad effect at all on my outcome but it did make the days easier to cope with without horrid calls).
I did not pay any creditor a token payment
I only managed to offer 25p
The 9 weeks flew by quickly & dare I say very smoothly
So for anyone still thinking of picking up the phone and making that call to start the IVA process . Just do it! It will be the best move you make.My case was not an easy case but I still had a great result.
The rest of the ramble in on updates blog[:)]

hey buttercup, reading this it just struck me as weird karma. not only did we practically go through this process at the same time, we have the same reason for debt (form of gambling) hope you've cracked the habit like ourselves, although ive gone from someone where £££ were just a number to a saving freak, who will do anything to save £5 at the end of the week and put into our contingencies fund lol [:D]

Since hubbys IVA which completed in December, i have become a saveaholic and spend all my time on my online banking.
Have been lucky enough to have extra money coming in these days so its all been saved.
Funny how even after the IVA i still watch every penny. It certainly teaches you the value of "real" money

me and hubby since BR have worked to a tight budget, this week we had over £500 in our account thats not including our bills as they are separate, and we get paid tomorrow, we have never had so much money plus we have a savings account with 600 in it, its not a lot but we have never had it before, we have really turned our lives around since all of this and i am sure everyone else can. good luck

Hi Viki
It was a self taught course as it did not come with a manual. Pulled my hair out a lot to start with. Plus ll the questions are done through a ticket system so you are unable to talk to anyone.
SDtart off with a web builder template pack there are several online. Also a few good hosting companies do their own to start you off.
RC
I closed my spreadbetting account the day I told my hubby & I have necer looked back.Problem with trading is it becomes a job and it draws you in a very clever way as you always think the trade will come back to you.
Yes I am saving where I can now.
RC It would be great to have a chat if you like. Maybe we have to go through admin not sure how we do it. I hope you ar getting sorted out.
