Firstly, a huge thanks to everyone who posted on the 'unsure' thread, all your kind words and support dragged me through a rough couple of days.
Well today (after chickening out last night) I spoke with Melanie, instantly felt better. I also spoke with her team and they are lovely.
This afternoon I finally tackled my new boss about my new role/office. It turns out this area of my life could end up turning out quite well if I 'go with the flow' for a few weeks and let everything settle down.
After work I went to my old bank who is one of our creditors and cancelled all DD's and SO's took out all the cash and asked them to close the account (I also passed the cashier a letter confirming what I wanted them to do). As everyone had told me they didn't bat an eyelid!
I have also telephoned all our utility companies, mortgage etc and changed the banking details with them.
I know the worst is to come but I feel so much better having done this. Tomorrow nights task is to gather paperwork, fill forms and send them off to Melanies office - We are taking one day at a time.
The final, final, absolutely last straw came when we received our statements for Virgin (MBNA) and realised that I paid something like 20p off my balance and the rest was interest and my oh paid £136 and it didn't even cover the interest therefore the balance went up by £90?? We have telephoned this company on more than one ocassion over the past 6 mths as they keep putting the interest up to 30%. We cannot compete with this anymore.
Sorry for the long post, I'm really grateful to you all and happy to be posting something a bit more positive! xx [:D][:D]
