If for some reason we dont agree with our supervisors decision upon reviews, do we have to take his decision or can it be challenged if we felt strongly about it ?

You ultimately have the right to apply to Court for directions as to the Supervisor's decisions under S263 of the Insolvency Act, but it is good sense to try and resolve the issue with the IP directly in the first instance.
Is there something that is bothering you at the moment?

I am just refering back to a previous debate about salary increaces along with increased expenditure & 50% going into the IVA before expenditure is taken into account as you have commented about this yourself.
Im just waiting for a reply to a letter i sent to my IP telling him of a change of job with increased I & E.
Im just worrying really Mel.

And I do not think that a Court would rule in your favour on this point, as the Judge will read the terms of the uplift clause to the letter and probably determine that you do have to pay the full 50%. Best to continue to negotiate with your IP - the more you hound him/her, the more they might just begin to see your point of view.

Well ive sent a full break down of my new I & E to him too so he will be able to see in detail the only expenditure i have is very basic, the only big increases are to my fuel costs & energy bills.

And we all know how much they have gone up. I am now paying £191 for gas each month!

Blimey !
Well last year i re-signed with Scottish Power with a price guarantee til 2010, when they did my energy review in October my monthly payments rocketed from £52 to £87 a month but thats for both gas & electric, realistically i reckon it should be more like £70 & this is what ive told my IP.

Do we have a right to speak to our IP rather than the office staff ?

by MelanieGiles
Absolutely - every time if you need to. If the IP refuses to speak to you that is grounds for a complaint to their regulatory body.

I have a big tank which has to have LPG because we live out in the country. It is about 5 times as expensive as natural gas and just keeps getting more and more expensive!
