It would be great if it were a Portsmouth vs Cardiff City final as well! Good luck also to the Bluebirds for Sunday.

At the risk of upsetting Melanie, i believe this is going to be a Portsmouth v Barnsley final. Best off luck to all four teams and their supporters.

Baggies? For some reason that raises memories of Northern Rock and Wigan Pier ... any connection ... or was it just something to do with the trousers?

I don't want to bore you but...
There's a couple of theories as to why we're called the Baggies
1.When the club was founded in 1878 the supporters that attended games were mainly foundry workers and wore really long trousers called 'Baggies' to protect themselves at work.
2.We just wore really long shorts.

Of Course Pompey are the longest ever holders of the FA Cup ... we held it over the war years [:)]
