Hi I know I'm happy with my IVA but circumstance is really testing me to the limit! Whilst waiting for the proposal, my dishwasher broke, my dehumidifier broke (both beyond repair), my gold bangle snapped, my boiler (well let's not go there) gave up the ghost. Now my bathroom window which had previously been repaired has broken again and it's more ecconomical to have a new one, luckily hubby can fit it so can buy one from a DIY store when we have some money to do so! Can you believe the run of things to go wrong! I need to have the bathroom window replaced as it won't open at all now and for obvious reasons we need it to! So let's get the plumbers bill sorted, the IVA caught back up and then we'll use the contingency for a new bathroom window. By the year 2010 I may have something in my contingency! Hope all is all ok with everyone else and surely my run of bad fortune can't continue...or can it?

Thanks for your replies and even I'm convinced it can't keep happening surely, sorry to moan so much but sometimes, I'm sure we're all too familiar with the 'why me' feeling and that's what I am experiencing today.

what a pain isthereanend, I bet you are frightened to touch anything in the house for fear of it breaking!!

Its very bad timming for all this to happen, but these things are sent to try us and at least you you are still looking very much on the bright side!

Hope things improve for you

One thought - at least you can't run up more debt by paying for everything repairing at once by putting it on your credit card!!!!
Got to look on the bright side sometimes!
