hi again,we have recently sold our house to offer a f&f settlement to dfd.we are currently in yr 3 of 6 yr iva.our fees to dfd in total are nearly £8k .because we are not going to have the iva for much longer will the fees to dfd be reduced at all.its just we have already paid £8.5 k into the iva and if this only pays off our fees to dfd then we really have been paying and struggling for past 3 yrs for nothing.i hope thats easy to understand !!!thanks guys.

Hi
There should be a saving of approx 1k a year,so 3k but there will be a variation fee od approx 1k.So the reality is that you will have IP fees of approx 6k bearing in mind that most of your IPs fees are earned in proposing your IVA.

i only wish now that i had sold our house 3 yrs ago and settled our debts as it seems we have simply thrown money down the drain to dfd by way of fees.we have total debts[inc dfd fees ] of 58k.will it be likely that a f&f settlement of 35k will be accepted.the original proposal meant a return of 21k to creditors.this is our max we can offer after mortgage is paid off and agents/conveyancing costs plus 2k rent arrears paid off[its 50% shared ownership house].im also hoping that dfd will allow us to retain 2k for deposit, rent costs for having to rent another home.

Seems a good offer to me Rach, and I would be pleased to put that forward for you if I were your IP.
