Hi again, I have received a letter from a company called eversheds. The letter stats that they will be contactig my IP as they have taken over the debt from GE Captal bank Has anyone heard of them?

Hi

Yes they are solicitors who will deal with the debt and the iva going forward. Most banks will sell the debt on to other companies this is quite normal.

Hi Marsha ... Eversheds buy off debts from the big companies at a nominal amount ... in the hope of a deecnt return for them. A number of my debts have been bought by Eversheds ... and the other company is Max Recovery ... in my view this is quite a good sign.

The debts are not bought by Eversheds - they are merely solicitors who act for the purchaser who are called Max Recovery. Nothing to worry about, Max Recovery are one of the most commercial and supportive outfits out there.
