Hi All

Am just waiting to hear if my F and F offer will be accepted. Can I ask in peoples experience if it is accepted how long it will take before a bank gives me a normal current account - Solo is awful!! Or will it be when the info drops off my credit file - 4 years time eek.

I think this varies from bank to bank. Be sure to ask this question to your current provider and shop around if you have to.

I think the reality is when it drops off your credit file[four years in your case].Oliver makes a valid point about trying to upgrade your current basic account.I'm sure bank staff must be able to authorise this if they can see that your account has been running smoothly,without havng to credit check you again.
