Not only have I just spent £30 on hayfever stuff on prescription,[:0] put a hole in my favourite work trousers[:0] and discovered the guttering directly over the front doot leaks in heavy rain(yes, I got wet!)[:0]; but my 10 year old trusty washing machine has finally given up on me![:0] (It is on twice a day, so doesn't exactly owe me anything!)
Hey ho![:D]

Oh, and my youngest daughter's school shoes have fallen apart with three weeks of term left, so sent her in sandals, with a mucky look from her teacher. I explained I wasn't about to shell out £30 for a new pair of school shoes for the sake of three weeks, when, knowing how fast her feet grow, she'd be needing another pair by summer. She explained that the school rules stated categorically that she had to wear black shoes, and so I politely stated categoriaclly she would have a new pair for September!
So she smiled, agreed it wouldn't be a problem, and off she went!

Never mind Helen we all have these days my washing machine has started to leak as well, when that starts all the other electrical stuff usually goes within three months mind you hubby mended the tumble dryer a month ago so the washing machine is the second, vaccuum covered so prob be the freezer next. Well done for standing ground with the teacher, they must realise everyone cant go out buying new stuff willy nilly, some have to budget. Hope the hayfever improves, should do if it cost that much for the prescription.

Jane I bet the notes stuck together and the next person got it or something like that. My mom had her card cloned and it took six months to get the money back and they still tried to make out it was her had taken it , no cameras on the bank. Keep fighting for it.

Jane, stick to your guns and threaten the bank with the Financial Ombusdman if they don't agree to give you your money back.

Best Regards
