I may need to undertake an IVA as my financial position has been affected by some unfortunate events over the last three years, however, my job requires my to use a credit card for the expenses incurred in my job.
is this still possible if I request for an IVA, or will I need to start looking for a new job.

Hi rh
Occasionally, there is a business case for allowing a client to retain one source of credit to fund business expenditure. I have this provision on a few of my clients, but this does need to be fully disclosed within the IVA proposal, so that other creditors can see that this creditor is effectively being preferred - but that this is still to their advantage. And of course the credit provider also has to agree.

There are now many pre paid cards that do exactly the same as a credit card, you just load money onto them.
