Do companies consider partners income? My partner is not impressed that someone is sniffing in her wallet.

partners income is taken into account to the extent that they are to put their fair share to bills etc so if you both earn the same then you would split all living costs fifty fifty.

These days creditors are wanting to know more and more about partner's circumstances, so I am afraid that the information will need to be disclosed. As Ang says this is more to ensure that you are not paying more than your fair share towards household bills at the expense of the creditors.
