Morning All
Just wanted to have a mini celebration as it was exactly a year yesterday that I entered into an IVA and I have to say that the time has flown by. I look back at my life before my IVA and i compare it to now and i have to say it was probably one of the best decisions i have ever made. Just wanted to mention it as i know we hear a lot of troubles on there and just wanted to give people hope that it can work!

Well i know this might be a silly bot of advice but i wold not have been able to do it without internet banking.... anyone that has not got this should it helps you keep track of everything. Plus what i tend to do is when i get paid take out all the money incash that i will be needing for that month and then make sure that my mum keeps my card.... i know it may seem simple but things like this have really helped me.... and the knowledege that in 4 years i will have a new life!

Thats good advice, in my case - every month I give all my income (after payment to IVA!!) to my wife bar a few quid for pocket money! Then she pays for all my bills etc. So she has virtually complete control over my finances and I've never got anything unless I ask her first and she only allows the essentials! But it works a treat, as I've got no credit, and no money in my account, so I cant go wrong.

Exactly that is the way to so it and then you know where you stand all the time... but internet banking is amazing!

Hi Sarah well done
I totally agree with what you say, I have also found it to be a huge positive in my life and has changed my whole outlook on dealing with money. We do as you and ivor hubby just asks when he needs something and says he has never felt happier. We are with thinkbanking so they help a bit as they keep the bill money etc seperate from the cash for us and at least when I use my debit card I know exactly what is there for us.I feel so much more in control of money and what I buy is bought by my not with credit. its a nice feeling.
All the best
Ang
