Don't know about anyone else, but, prior to IVA, Saturday always
seemed to be the day for the bills, statements, demands, threats
etc used to drop on our doormat.
It seems odd to get up and be able to open the front door without
moving a foot high pile of envelopes since IVA has gone through.
Also saw our postman this morning and his hernia has got much better
now his bag is lighter.

i know that feeling i used to get it at the ned of the month just before payday, the lette from the bank about my overdraft limit, the pile of mail has ceased and i now go to atms without any worry knowing i have money i can draw on.

I know exactly what you mean. Juggling 13 credit cards took up most of my time, it was like a full time job!. My IVA has been adjourned until 13 June so it's thumb twiddling time now. Can't do much as we daren't spend any money. We have the anticipated first payment set aside which has left us with the bare minimum, but I know that we will be able to cope once it's sorted. I quite like handing over cash for the things that I do need to buy such as petrol. “Just enter your PIN number and press enter”. I don’t miss that at all. For one it’s quicker and you know you aren't spending money you don’t have. The decision has been taken away from me. I don’t have the money so I don’t buy it – I don’t have to think about it. Strangely, this has helped me to feel a little bit better about things.

Yes, it feels strange spending money that belongs to you and not the bank.
For the first time in a long time i have the letters
'cr' against my balance.
I think i still had a paper round the last time that happened.

I agree, my account is never that much in Credit but its the first time it been credit for at least 3-4 years! We all have the occassional grumble with budgets and IPs but i cant imagine how I/or my finances would be if I never sorted myself out!
