Just when i thought it was safe to ignore the postman.
A County Court claim from one of my creditors dropped onto my doormat this morning.
A double dose immodium moment i can tell you !.
Rang my ip, who put my mind at rest, and told me to post them a copy
and they would contact creditor.
Also, whilst helping my eldest daughter look for a new fixed rate interest mortgage deal on the internet, i took the opportunity to have a look at the rates for remortgage for people with bad credit history. Based on my current mortgage balance, and, without extending the loan period, if i was trying to raise my equity release now i would never manage the massive increase in monthly payments.
My question is, how easy is it to increase an iva by 12 months when the time comes, has anyone any experience?.

Hi Mr Torch

In my experience, for what it's worth, I have never had a formal variation turned down at a creditors meeting - so I guess the answer is fairly easy!

But I also regularly see clients of mine getting very favourable rates for re-mortgages whilst they are in IVA's as well - let's hope Welshboy is around when your are due to effect yours!

Thanks Melanie.
Its a long way off i know, circumstances may change,
but, based on my current situation the repayments would have paid off the debt of a small african country.
Strange people these welsh mind you, i should know, i married one, and she spent her formative years burning holiday cottages in Builth Wells !.
