Hello Again

There have been a number of posts recently asking if you will be 'blacklisted' when you enter an IVA.
You most certainly will:
My IVA was approved 4 weeks ago, I have looked on the Insolvency Service website, and guess what? My name, address, case number and IP's details are listed and very easy to find. I have also looked on Experian and yes, sure enough my IVA details are listed along with numerous 'default' and 'missed payment' listings.
I am officially a 'bad risk' no financial institution would touch me with a barge pole.
I couldn't be happier, I don't get any nasty phone calls any more, the dreaded threatening letters have stopped, I don't have a lot of money left after my IVA payment goes through but at least it's my money I'm living on, I'm not living off a credit card, for the first time in years I can see an end to a life of perpetual debt.
TO ALL THOSE MEMBERS WHO ARE WORRIED ABOUT BEING 'BLACKLISTED', LOOK AT IT THIS WAY:
If you can't get credit you can't get into debt, I never thought I would be able to survive without my credit cards but dealing in cash is so easy to handle, if you run out of money you can't overspend, BLISS[:D][:D][:D][:D].
Dont worry about being 'blacklisted', hold your head up high and say, I have made mistakes but I am facing up to my problems and doing the honourable thing and paying back as much as I can possibly afford [xx(][xx(][xx(]

Hold on to that bliss. It will be well worth it. I can't access IVA or BR as I am not technically insolvent, but hope to finally get my debts down to mortgage only in 4 or 5 years. Then, for the first time since kids were born, I can start to save and that will be bliss too.

Hi Storm when i looked at my credit file it had iva date then iva complete then iva satified, couldnt understand when it had failed.
do you think this is because the company i used failed it within 2 days as i never actually agreed it.
I must admit it is a puzzle to me.

The CRA's get the data directly from the Insolvency Service daily.

They don't do any validation of it unfortunately.

I always laugh at IVA adverts that say that "your credit rating may be affected" if you enter into an IVA. It's like saying you may get wet if you go swimming.

I have the latest report what do you mean by the last 3?

Not last 3. There are three different Credit Reference Agencies and they may not all hold exactly the same data. So if you want to see exactly what is on your file, you would need to get the file from all 3.

On the Insolvency Service website it gives my name, address, date of IVA, IP's name and address, I searched by court and surname. Experian listed IVA date and case number also all missed payments and defaults were listed.

If I can find this information, anyone can [xx(][:(][:(][:(]

I have no problem with the details of my BR being on the website, but one thing I do have a problem with is my address appearing. OK, it doesn't affect me, but what if, just for example, someone was trying to escape a violent partner? If they have managed to get away and start a new life, emotionally and financially, I don't think their address should be shown.

Just one thing, I am still on the register twice, once for my IVA (with the wrong IP and company details) and once for my BR. I have now missed 3 payments of my IVA, so am I right in thinking that Accuma will fail the IVA now as 3 missed payments was one of the modifications, or do I need to ask them to do it? I am concerned that when I am discharged from BR next March (fingers crossed no BRU!) that the IVA will still be on there.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Your IP should have closed the case as soon as the bankruptcy order was made. I am sure this will happen shortly.

Hi Storm me again i got the other credit reports but as the one with experian says iva complete then underneath satisfied the other 2 just say iva and the date my ip excepted
What worries me is i will try for another iva but what will then happen to the report
The company that i used should never have excepted an iva and failed it after 4 days,im worried now that my credit file will show to different entrys ,will it make a difference, should i actually contact the agenceies and send acopy of my letter of non compliance,or just leave things as they are.
Good job i dont want credit for the next 20 years at least. I did have to laugh though my credit rateing even with this on is still fair.
