I am at present starting an IVA, but was wondering how long the process takes from start to finish as i am about 6 weeks in and have not had any contact from my IP, although all my paper work has been forwarded to them and i have made contact with them twice i just feel it is a one way thing at the moment. my biggest concern is i am now getting default notices and grumpy calls.

Hi Helen
I normally work on 4-6 weeks from the time I commence work, however this can extend if your creditors do not co-operate. I find it strange that you have had no contact with your IP! Who are you using?

Hi Helen,welcome to the forum.
6 wks does seem a long time, hopefully you have not yet parted with any money.Remember you are free to consult other companys as this company are obviously not to concerned as i would have at least expected them to have the decencey to call you.
Proposeing an iva is a very stressfull time and unless your case is very complex and they need more information i cannot understand there delay.
im sure if you post your details one of the experts will give you the advise that you need,i hope you get some answers soon
