We had an overdraft with Natwest which was listed as a debt in our bankruptcy.
My 18 year old daughter wants to open an account so she can get the free Railcard. Obviously she will have to give our address, would this affect her in anyway, could Natwest refuse her an account because of our bankruptcy?????

To be honest I am not 100% sure but my daughter just turned 16 and opened an account with the co op, they are aware I am BR as I have a cashminder account with them, however they were not a creditor in BR.

Hi
My son opened an account with one of my creditors with the same address so they should be ok.

Hi Jane,

I dont think that your daughter should have any problem opening a bank account with Natwest. I suppose the best thing you can do is try and then if they reject her she will can try someonelse.

I don't think you're daughter should have any problems - bad credit now only affects the person with the bad credit.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

I am in an IVA and Nat West were one of my creditors.

My son went in and they allowed him an account and he was OK!

I think it should be alright!
