What happens if I cannot pay back the arranged payment on the iva? Can I then go down the bankruptcy route?

Hi ianj and welcome to the forum

If there is no way forward for you with the IVA, and you feel that you cannot carry on with the payments even if you were allowed to lower them, then you can declare yourself bankrupt at any time.

What has happened to put you in this position if I may enquire?

Hi Ian,

If you are continually struggling with making your IVA payments, then you could decide to either go bankrupt or enter into a DMP.

I would advise firstly that you speak with your I.P and see if you can reduce your payments. Always keep your I.P in the loop so then you are not hit with any suprises.
