as I have cancelled all of my direct debits, the creditors are now starting to chase.
I told them that I filed for BR this morning, and she started going on about sending me Income and Expenditure forms... Why?
I assume I am to simply point everyone to the receiver?

That is correct andymac
Refer all of your creditors now to your examiner at the Official Receiver's office.

Hi Andy, if anyone rings or if you get nasty letters, just give them your BR date and BR number. Hopefully they'll update your records and the calls and letters will stop (tho i've been BR for nearly a month and I'm still getting letters tho the phonecalls have stopped!).

Hi Andy
On the day of my BR I actually called all of my creditors and gave them my BR order details. All with the exception of Goldfish continued to call albeit once a week, until I explained 'again' and they apologised and confirmed they would stop the calls which they did.
All the creditors with th exception of NR, makes me laugh, were very pleasent and certainly didnt give me a hard time, just took the details and confirmed they would now deal with the OR (most even wished me good luck). You could of course wait for the OR to contact them but this might take a while to filter through to the departments doing the calling.
Good luck
Pippa

I made a lot of copies of my BR certificate and I send a copy and a covering letter to anyone still daft enough to contact me.
