Well i rent at the mo - and want to buy a house, i didnt think it was possible while in an iva. but it would be with the gf and poss have a gurantuer and deposit?
is it possible?? i would be a first time buyer...
also - would i have to pay sky high rates? would i be better of letting the missus get the mortgage and me just living thier?

Richard
You would need the permission of your IP, the fact that your in an IVA will not necessarily stop you getting a mortgage if the IVA is or has been "conducted satisfactorily". The rate will reflect your past credit/finance problems. I would check out what you are thinking of doing with your IP and go from there. I am not a qualified IP so don`t feel that I should be giving an opinion on their field of expertise re using a guarantor or using your girlfriend (I presume that is what you meant by gf). No you would not necessarily pay "sky high rates" but you would need a deposit and your first port of call should be your IP. Tony
