Will you be ale to help me pay less than £180 a month and possibly help write off some debt from my capital one credit card which is around £5000? Along with freezing the interest?
Regards
Helen

Hi Helen
Is £5000 your total debt? And do you only owe money to Capital One or do you have other creditors?
If it is just £5000 to Capital One I would contact them direct and try to agree a repayment plan.
Hope this helps

It might also be a good idea to go for an unsecured loan if your credit score is good!
Then cut up your credit card and get a Cash plus Mastercard where you have to front load your card before using it!
The important thing is to get rid of credit cards they are the root of all financial ruin!
Good Luck

I'll second that Ray, credit in general is the root of all evil (in my case anyway)
I have a cash plus mastercard and I find it really good, especially for paying bills online.

If you have a total debt of £5k then an IVA is not for you. There are other solutions to debt difficulty though. Post some more details so we can advise you further.

Hi misshelen and welcome to the forum,
To enter an IVA your personal debts must be above £15,000 and you should have 3 or more different creditors. In your case you should contact your creditor and agree a repayment plan.
