I don't know if anyone can help me, but I need some more advice!

I am about to apply for another job and if I was to get it it will be for about £1k a year less than I am on now. This may mean that I would need to ask for my IPA to be reduced. Would this be frowned upon by the OR, as I would be choosing a job with less money? I don't fancy staying where I am for the next 3 years, but I am on good money for what I do and the new job would be a bit of a change of direction for me.

A question for Rainbow if you are reading - the job I am interested in is in administration for a housing association - is my bankruptcy likely to affect this?

skippy i don't think it will be frowned upon, its about getting on with your life now, if you weren't BR you would have still gone for it, the or is as real as you and me and understands that we need to change our vocation at times, i wouldn't worry about it, you are still paying something towards your BR and if the OR thought you were trying to get out of an ipa i am sure he would realise you could just go unemployed.
good luck with the application

Thanks Kerri, I'm going to complete it over the weekend and send it off and then cross my fingers!
