I have hadletters from the solicitors that will be dealing with my remortgage. They metion in it that we have to change our house insurance doccuments and hae the name of the new mortgage company put on it and send a photocopy back.
Obviously we wont be taking the remortgage if the F&F isnt accepted so we dont really want to change the insurance doccuments as yet.
Is this normal? if it is, how do we get around changing it before we even know if F&F will be accepted?

Hi skint

It's a very normal practice and happens with every remortgage we do.

It's also very easy and fast to do - just a phone call to your present insurer and request that they note the interest of the new lender on your insurance and ask them to fax a copy directly to the new lender. It’s early days yet, you don’t need to do this until you decide to complete.
