I just wanted to ask everyone who has completed their IVA or gone BK how they felt afterwards. I know that apart from a bigger mortgage I have been very lucky in the fact for me apart from the paper work my IVA is over. But I just feel flat, after so many years in debt and not knowing which way to turn I thought that I would be on top of the world. Is this normal does it take a while for it to sink in that you are debt free ?

I found it was great relief, the way i look at it your not debt free until IVA is finished. In one way I find it hard living on a budget, but in all fairness, living on a budget, stops you going in to debt. And when my IVA is finished in 52 months then I will have been used to been on a budget and the money i use to pay in an iva i will be able to save and never go in to debt again.

no matter how bad money gets, theirs stll alot more important things in life

I went bankrupt last week, I thought once that was done, I would be relieved but I am still very stressed. I have yet to have the OR interview and not knowing about the car, etc is a worry.

I am hoping in a few months, once things have settled down and hopefully, we are in a more secure home, I might start to look to the future
