Its probably been asked before but cant find anything on it.
I am considdering a part time temp job over the xmas period to bring us in a few extra pounds, We both work full time and have a joint IVA that was approved in april, its a been a real struggle with kids school uniforms unexpected car repairs and the washing machine dying, but I suppose its all a part of the IVA challenge and getting us out of debt so i'm not complaining.
I have read alot on the forum about the 50/50 wages, overtime clause that many people have but I cant find anything in our proposal mentioning it , so i wondered what would happen if I was to get a part time job just for a couple of moths to give us some much needed extra input of cash? are we likely to be penalised at our annual review?
Any help or comments appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

If you don't have the 50% uplift provision as part of your IVA, then there should be no problem in earning a few extra pounds over the Xmas period to help out - but do check with your own IP before committing to this.

Good evening Steve,

Thank you very much for your post and welcome to the forum.

I am realling hoping that you will not be penalised at our review since ot does not mention on your proposal however you will need to check this with your IP I am afraid.

Yes - but I am afraid that the older I get the less I seem to need. I gather it is all part of the ageing system - and the telly is really boring on a Sunday night isn't it!!!!

If I was you I would presume the 50/50 clause applies to you. I think it would be a poor IP to exclude it in your proposal. I am hoping to persuade Melanie to exclude the 50/50 overtime clause in my proposal. Any chance Melanie? [:D]

I think its not in our proposal as niether of us are in jobs where overtime is available , we just work standard office hours nothing more.We do have the windfall clause etc but nothing for overtime. Not sure what a temp job would be classed as but I will speak to my IP. I am with re10 if any one knows of them, when I call should I speak just to the office or ask for the IP or supervisor?
Many thanks for evreyones help and answers.

Max

I NEVER put this silly provision into clients IVA proposals - in my experience the cost of doing the work to gather up and analyse client wage information far outweighs any benefit. But unfortunately creditors very often seek the provision by way of modification.
