We have a problem with the basic bank account with Lloyds - my husband has to travel to Germany a lot with his job and the basic account only allows cash access at Lloyds TSB cashpoints.
Is it possible to go up a grade in bank accounts and ask for an overdraft limit to be withdrawn as there are going to be occasions where he needs to draw cash out abroad?

I think that your husband needs to speak to his employer and see if they can provide him with a float which could then be placed on one of the pre-paid credit cards. You could speak to the bank, but if you already have an IVA on your record I do not feel that they will be too sympathetic.

Hi
If not then look into a prepaid credit card, these can be used abroad.
Have a look at Tuxedo and Bread amongst others
