As far as I can see the Bread website states that you can load your card either at a Paypoint (fee 3% of total loaded) or by standing order (fee 25p).

I was plannning to load mine by standing order, but due to Christmas I went to the Post Office (not realising it wasn't a Paypoint) and asked if I could load it there. The clerk swiped the card and confirmed that I could and when I checked my Bread account this morning the money was showing (I loaded it on Saturday) and the fee was only 75p!

As it only costs 75p and I know the money is there within 48 hours (I presume it's 24 hours if you don't load it at the weekend) I'll do it that way from now on.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

I set up a £1.00 transaction this afternoon to test out the transfer direct from bank account. I'll be using the PO now as it's very local to me!

I tried the SO transfer -took two days! Cost 25p.Excellent.

About the PO fee of 75p I think this is a % of your money uploaded.But it takes 24 hour

I'm not sure Skipper - to load at a Paypoint is 3%, and I loaded £103 at the PO, so it definitely wasn't 3%.

It's a shame the Bread website doesn't make it clear that you can load it at the PO as I must admit I prefer handing over the cash myself than having it disappear into cyberspace!

That's excellent then...a flat fee of 75p 0r 0.75%.

I use the Cashplus card which is free to load at the Post Office and the amount is credited the next working day
